Interview with Laingholm and Districts Veterinary Service

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with one of our valued clients, Andrew, from Laingholm and Districts Veterinary Service, to discuss his thoughts around Panacea as his chosen Practice Management System (PMS). 

Prior to joining us, Andrew was working with an outdated paper-based system. For most, a swap can be a daunting and challenging feat – but it doesn’t have to be. Andrew had many reservations about progressing to the cloud, however, with our easy breezy transition process, the crew at Laingholm has taken to Panacea smoothly.

We’re excited to share Andrew’s kind words with this excerpt from our conversation.


What are the key benefits of using Panacea compared to your previous PMS?

Since using Panacea, I’ve seen a massive improvement. The system has sped up everything I do and has helped me with my accuracy. Sending information for insurance claims etc is so easy and looks very professional as I can customise my documents.

All in all, Panacea has alleviated the extra work I was doing beforehand and I’m very happy I joined.

 

How did you find the migration process, the initial learning and use of the new product?

I didn’t migrate from a legacy system as I was using a paper system beforehand. I was quite skeptical about changing to a cloud management system, but have found the change over very straightforward. 

Having done locuming for a good portion of my career, I have used many of the well known systems out there and all are so much more difficult to learn and use than Panacea.

Panacea is really user friendly, so easy to learn and very intuitive. 

 

Do you use automated features such as consult and sale templates, automated product reminders, etc.? If so, how do you find them? If not, do you need any help setting these up?

Yes, I do use these. I really like the reminder system. It saves me so much time and I find that after I set it up, Panacea does the rest so it’s very handy. Setting up the reminders couldn’t be easier and I like how Panacea completely customises each reminder automatically for me.  

Consult templates are great. I really like how it automates the sale as well. It saves me so much time and effort and makes sure that I’m not wasting time manually typing and forgetting to apply items to my invoices. 

 

If you could change anything about Panacea, what would it be?

I really like everything about Panacea so it’s hard to say, but if I had to choose something, it’d be giving your clients the ability to add in more options for master problems. Also, being able to set up prescription templates. I do know something like this is coming though, which is great.

 

How do you feel about our feature requests option?

I think feature requests are an excellent idea. It’s great how Panacea users can have their say in the system and its evolution. 

 

How would you rate our customer service and support?

I have found the support given from the Panacea team to be excellent! I have had so much support along the way and your team is great with checking in and answering anything I need, and really quickly!

The support from Panacea has definitely been above and beyond my expectations, especially from a PMS company.

 

How likely are you to recommend Panacea to someone else?

I’d definitely recommend Panacea to others and have already done so. I never give a review unless the product and service I have had is 5/5 stars and Panacea has certainly been more than 5 stars. 

I’m very pleased I joined and am excited to see how things progress over the years.
